MORRISVILLE, NC – King Street Properties announced today the groundbreaking of an exclusive tenant amenity center, ‘The Junction’ at its development, Pathway Triangle in North Carolina’s Research Triangle. Representatives from the Town of Morrisville, North Carolina Biotechnology Center and King Street all raised a shovel to break ground on the building, which is scheduled to open in Q2 2026.
Spanning 10,670 square feet indoors with an additional 10,000 square feet of outdoor space, The Junction will offer a new benchmark in workplace experience, delivering a curated list of features designed to foster wellness, collaboration, and innovation. Positioned next to a protected forestry area, the amenity center enjoys the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape highlighted by new walking trails that connect to the Stirrup Iron Creek Greenway. The Junction will include a café offering breakfast, lunch, and grab-and-go options, a state-of-the-art fitness center with spa-quality locker rooms, a putting green, an outdoor firepit with seating, and an outdoor yoga green.
“We are thrilled to bring this level of experience to Pathway Triangle,” said Sara McTyeire, Managing Director, King Street Properties. “The Junction represents our commitment to creating spaces that foster connection, creativity, and well-being—values that are increasingly important in today’s world. We chose the name as a tribute to Morrisville’s rich railroad history, symbolizing a place where people and ideas come together.”
The Junction also offers a high-tech 30+ person training room and ancillary private huddle rooms for tenants, as well as a lounge with a large-scale video display wall and golf simulator.
The Pathway Triangle advanced manufacturing campus spans 75 acres and will include over 1 million square feet of development. The first two buildings totaling over 500,000 square feet are now complete.
